Beam Signing Ceremony Held at New Police Department / EOC Construction Site
A beam signing ceremony was held at the site of the new Police Department / Emergency Operations Center at 305 Forest Rd. on August 17th. The beam was signed by town officials including the Board of Police Commissioners, the Town Council, town administrators, the Permanent Project Building Committee, the town’s State legislative delegation, and North Branford Police personnel.
Following remarks from North Branford Police Chief Kevin Halloran, Town Manager Michael Downes, Mayor Jeff Macmillen and Deputy Police Chief Jim Lovelace, the signed beam was lifted into place by Newfield Construction.
Participants in the event also included Town Council members Nick Palladino, Marie Diamond and Vincent Mase; Police Commissioners Victor Pietrandrea, David Palumbo and Jacob Manner, State Representative Vincent Candelora, State Senator Christine Cohen, State Senator Paul Cicarella, and Public Works Director Fran Merola.
The Police Station project is expected to be completed in mid-2024.
