NORTH BRANFORD LAUNCHES NEW TOWN WEBSITE

NORTH BRANFORD –Town Manager Michael Downes today announced the launch of a brand-new municipal website for the Town of North Branford.  The new website, northbranfordct.gov, represents a significant update and overhaul for the Town’s online presence where residents, taxpayers, and businesses can access Town information, resources, documents and much more.  The new site has updated user design functionality across desktop, tablet, phone, and other mobile platforms.

The new site provides quicker and more intuitive access to information most frequently sought by Town residents, such as bill payment, permit applications and licenses.  Residents can report issues or problems online, and access voting and election information, a calendar of events, Town department pages with contact information, employment opportunities with the Town, and resources for local businesses.

Additionally, residents can sign up for alerts for events and emergencies on the new site, as well as subscribe to notices, agendas, and minutes from selected Town Boards and Commissions.

“This is a significant and overdue update to the Town’s storefront online, and I hope residents will check out the new look and see the local government resources they can now easily access online and subscribe to,” said Downes.  “This new site will greatly enhance our communications with residents and businesses, improve government transparency, and provide easier access to information and services for our citizens.”

The North Branford Town Council approved CivicPlus in October of 2022 as the selected vendor charged with developing the new site for the Town.  Since then, Downes and the IT team including Anthony Esposito, Dennis Pannone, and new webmaster Jessica Cave have been working with CivicPlus to bring the new website to life.

“I’m thrilled that we are launching this overdue update to North Branford’s website,” said Mayor Jeffrey Macmillen.  “This site provides greater access with improved organization for town residents and businesses, and more accurately reflects the great things about our town and community.”

“We are excited to have residents begin using this new site,” Downes added.  “I hope everyone will visit and check out the new features and follow the prompts to sign up for notifications and news to stay informed about everything we are doing here in North Branford!”
