[ARCHIVED] Rose Angeloni and Bonnie Symansky Recognized as “Women of Excellence” by Shoreline Chamber

NORTH BRANFORD – North Branford residents Rose Angeloni and Bonnie Symansky were recognized by the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce during their annual Women of Excellence luncheon and awards ceremony held at Woodwinds in Branford on Tuesday, August 22nd.   

The Women of Excellence awards ceremony recognizes women from the towns of Branford, Guilford and North Branford who exhibit inspirational qualities and demonstrate a vision to better our communities through their career, volunteering, mentoring or empowering others to leadership. 

Rose Angeloni was recognized for her three decades of dedication to the Town, including her service as a member of the Board of Education, Planning and Zoning Commission, and her seven terms on the Town Council.  She was also recognized for her work as one of the primary coordinators for the successful Potato and Corn Festival held every August in town, as well as her work as a member of the North Branford Booster Club, North Branford Relay for Life, North Branford Land and Conservation Trust, and the Totoket Historical Society. 

Bonnie Symansky was recognized for her volunteerism, particularly with the North Branford Land and Conservation Trust where she has served as a Board member, and shepherded through numerous collaborative projects and trail expansions, her production of “Destination North Branford,” a video promoting the welcoming vibrancy of North Branford, and her work with the Sunflower Project and support of the Pollinator Pathway.   

Both Angeloni and Symnansky received their awards as well as citations from federal, state and local officals recognizing them for their service.
